From July 23rd through July 27th the Brigade assisted the New Mexico Emergency Management and the National Guard in searching for a person missing in flooding in Tecolote Canyon from the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar. Over those days five Brigade members at different times provided support for canine teams from Mountain Canine Corp, assisted at Incident Base and helped comb the river bank and debris piles with the National Guard. As I’m sure many of you are aware from the news the person was found deceased. Our deepest condolences to the family.
