Our brigands met for a classroom training on how to be an effective support for a canine search team. This training was done in conjunction with the local Pajarito K9 search team, whom provided valuable feedback as we discussed how being on a dog team is slightly different than a ground-pounding search team (which is what LAAFB generally does). A set of slides was shared (attached here) along with a great amount of discussion that was very valuable. For this training and discussion, Da Mule led with participation from five others brigands and four members of Pajarito K9. Now we’re all ready to play with (ahem, search with) these great furry companions in New Mexico Search and Rescue operations!
