Search and Rescue
Recognized by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety State Police Brigade SAR team members are trained in ground and vehicle search and rescue techniques. Team members are ready to respond statewide to assist persons lost or injured in wilderness settings. For more information click here.
Special Events
Two antique fire engines – a 1921 LaFrance and a 1942 GMC find their home at our historic cold war era civil defense building headquarters. The two engines share the space with a horse drawn and hand drawn pump. On good days you’ll see the two engines during parades in Los Alamos and on display at various events around town.
