Our July 28th mission was for a missing female hiker on the Manzanita Trail. The trailhead for this trail is off the road to the Taos Ski Valley. One Brigade person went as support for Mountain Canine Corp air scent dog and another Brigade person was working Incident Base. The mission was short as the leader of the group the hiker was in had already organized a search and quickly found the lost person in good shape. The canine team made it almost to Taos before we got the word to stand down. The photo above is looking at the storms building over the search area. Glad we didn’t have to hit the trail for this one.
