Mission 23 started early afternoon on March 25 2023 when we were called to help search for a missing person in the Abiquiu area. Ten Brigade members including our Incident Commander responded. We had just arrived at Incident Base when we learned the subject had been found in good shape by an incoming canine team on the road to Incident Base. We hung around long enough to make sure all was well, signed out and headed back home. The mission was an important reminder to us to be on the lookout for our subject as we are in route to Incident Base.
Mission 28 started April 1st 2023 around 7:00 p.m. and was for a missing out-of-bounds snowboarder at the Santa Fe Ski Basin. Eight Brigade members, again including the Incident Commander, were ready to respond when we received word the subject had been found. Didn’t even leave the house.
