Jemez Mountain Trail Run – Medical and Communications

May 22nd 2021 turned out to be a great day for the Jemez Mountain Trail Run. Storms stayed just to our east creating dramatic skies. Six Brigade members provided medical support and helped count racers at the Camp May and Pipeline aid stations. Three members provided communications support via HAM radio at the Guaje Ridge, Pipeline and Mitchel Trailhead aid stations. The event was basically uneventful. The medical team dealt with a few minor injuries and the radio teams had to communicate with other stations to reconcile logs of who went by each aid station but otherwise all runners made it back to start finish. The only downside was it was very windy on the ridges.
