On May 20th a handful of Brigade members helped out with the Jemez Mountain Trail Run. For those that don’t know the run consists of three courses – a 15 mile, 50 kilometer and 50 mile run through the mountains around Los Alamos. Obviously, a grueling race. Some of us provided communications support via HAM radio while others provided medical support at the Camp May aid station. The day was awesome for the runners – cool, misty and drizzly. However, the aid station workers needed all the layers they had. Given the length of the course the day was long and for Cabra aid station started early. We worked our way to the aid station under headlamp. The event was well attended and went off without any major incident.
