Mission 55 starts for the Brigade with a call from the Ordering Manager (ORDM) on June 13th around 15:20. A male and his dog had called and said he was out of water and food and couldn’t go any further. Coordinates obtained from the subjects phone indicate he is about 1.5 miles up the Windsor Trail out of the Santa Fe Ski Basin. Six Brigade members gather up radios, litter and maps and head to Incident Base. Arriving at IB we learn a Santa Fe team is about a half hour ahead of us and our job is to go to the trailhead and standby with the litter in case the we have to carry the subject out. Team one catches up the subject provides water and food and proceed to walk the subject out. We will not be needed for this mission and Incident Commands releases us to head home.
