Many of the athletic events that take place in Los Alamos require insurance and the policies often require medical personnel on site. The Brigade’s medical personnel volunteer their time at these events allowing the events to operate without burdening the events already tight budgets. Plus many events take place in the great outdoors surrounding Los Alamos making for a great day. The football games can be a little on the cold side, however.
The Brigade requires personnel providing patient care to be licensed with the New Mexico EMS system or National Registry at the First Responder, EMT or higher level. The Brigade is not certified to provide this training but we can help interested persons find the training.
